Happy New Year

Rachael and I spent our first Christmas in Colorado and Tennessee. Due to God's kindness, we both had most of December off of work. Rachael's parents invited us to Colorado Springs, and we gladly accepted, for they are moving to Florida. After packing their house, we skied two days on Monarch Mountain in the Rockies. Presently, we're in Clarksville with my parents, visiting friends and enjoying the break.

If the Lord wills, Rachael will start seminary in February. She will take one night class, since she will still nanny during the day. I'll be continuing my studies with classes in Hebrew, Christian Theology, and theology of the New Testament. I'll also work at the seminary health and recreation center as a lifeguard and child fitness instructor. We are both excited about getting more involved at our church. We may join the choir in January, and we will keep cultivating relationships in our Sunday school and small group.

As the New Year approaches, I'm sure many of us are thinking about resolutions. One of mine is to renew my vision for ministry. I am thankful for any prayers offered regarding this. To fade in fervency is one of my many weaknesses. Like marathon runners, we all need a goal clearly set before us, if we are to discipline ourselves for the race.
